SARAH BERGER, SOPRANO
Soprano Sarah Berger has performed solo and chamber repertoire ranging from Heinrich Schutz to John Adams with ensembles including Concert Artists of Baltimore, Washington Bach Consort, Bach Sinfonia, Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Baltimore Masterworks Chorale, Washington's Orchestra of the 17th Century, and Styles Luxurians.
Highlights of the past season were touring France with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society as the soprano soloist in performance of Mozart's Requiem, as well as performing arias of Handel, Gounod and Puccini with Concert Artists of Baltimore. Solo appearances in the 2008-2009 season have included Handel's Israel in Egypt with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and Mendelssohn's Lobgesang with Concert Artists of Baltimore. Ms. Berger will be performing throughout the season with the Washington Bach Consort and Concert Artists of Baltimore, and as soprano soloist at Christ Lutheran Church at Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
Ms. Berger began her singing study at Oberlin College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in musicology and English literature. She received a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the Peabody Conservatory, and completed postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
