derek mosloff, viola
Derek Mosloff has studied the viola for eight years. He began his studies in his hometown of Thief River Falls, Minn., under Derek Druse. After two years of study with Mr. Druse, he began study with Jonah Sirota of the Chiara String Quartet. Once the quartet completed its two-year residency in Grand Forks, N.D., he was directed to Timothy Nelson of Fargo, N.D.. He studied with Timothy for four years, and is now in Lincoln to continue his studies with Jonah Sirota at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Derek was named principal violist of the Minnesota All-State Orchestra for two consecutive years, and has attended festivals such as Greenwood Chamber Music Camp, Dakota Chamber Music Festival, and the Red River Chamber Music Festival.
