GOLDEN LUND, TUBA

John Bailey

As one of newest members of the LSO, Golden Lund is excited to be continuing his music career in Lincoln.  Golden moved to Lincoln in August of 2009 so he could begin a Doctorate degree in Tuba performance studying under the direction of Craig Fuller (Principal Tuba, Omaha Symphony)

Golden’s musical training is extensive as he has studied with some the finest tuba performers and teachers in the world including Daniel Perantoni (Indiana University), Warren Deck (New York Philharmonic, retired), and Gary Ofenloch (Boston Pops and Utah Symphony).  In addition to obtaining his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah and Masters degree at Indiana University, he also has participated in several music festivals including Round Top and Aspen.

Golden performed with the Utah Symphony while completing his undergraduate degree, and following the completion of his degree there he was fortunate enough to win the one year position with  the  Louisiana  Philharmonic  where  he  served as  principal  tuba   for  the  2006-2007  season.
