CHAROn lorraine zaev, Violin
Charon Lorraine Zaev began studying violin at the age of seven. Throughout high school, she was a prolific musician, also performing on the piano, viola and bassoon. She spent three years singing soprano in the Iowa All-State Chorus before graduating in 2000 from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa. In the fall of 2000, she began studying under Prof. David Neely at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In the 2004-2005 season, Mrs. Zaev held the position of concertmaster with the UNL Symphony Orchestra. She graduated in December 2004 and was recently married to Pance Zaev, who is working toward his DMA in clarinet at UNL. In addition to playing with LSO, Mrs. Zaev teaches violin independently in the Lincoln area. |
