Eva Shvartcer

Eva Shvartcer was born in Nizhny Tagil, Russia. She began studying violin at the age of seven. She moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 2012 and graduated from the Alabama School of Fine Arts in 2016. She is currently pursuing a Music Performance Degree at the University of Nebraska, where she studies with David Neely. Her violin teachers and mentors have included Marjorie Bagley, Sheryl Staples, Byron Tauchi, Caroline Nordlund, Hyeyung Yoon and David Neely. Eva was a concertmaster in the Alabama Symphony Youth Orchestra and a concertmaster of the 2013 American String Teachers Association Honor Strings Festival, and was the first violinist in the Alabama All-State Festival Orchestra in 2013 and 2015. Eva plays in the University of Nebraska Symphony as well as Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra. In 2013, Eva was a winner of the AMTA String Concerto Competition. In addition to playing with LSO, Eva plays numerous weddings and special events in the Lincoln area.
