Kelli Nelson

Kelli J. Nelson is a native of Lincoln, Neb. She is a member of Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and the Sioux City (Iowa) Symphony, and she teaches band at Bellevue East High School and is adjunct faculty at Dana College. She received a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1994. While at UNL she studied with Albert Rometo. She received a Masters in Percussion Performance from Indiana University where she studied with Dr. Jon Wacker, Gerald Carlyss of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Tom Stubbs of the St. Louis Orchestra. After receiving her Masters in May of 2000 she returned to Nebraska and currently lives in Papillion with her husband Jeff and their dog Max.
