Kristin Pfabe

Kristin Pfabe began playing in Lincoln’s Symphony in 1987. Her teachers include Beatrice Lily, Marilyn O’Boyle, Robert Walters, Arnold Schatz, Alan Rawson and Beth Felice. During high school, she attended Interlochen Arts Camp. In addition to Lincoln’s Symphony, she has played with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony and the Northern Kentucky Symphony. Her bachelor’s degree is from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she studied mathematics and Spanish. She taught Spanish at Pius X High School in Lincoln for one year, and then pursued graduate studies in mathematics at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where she completed her doctoral degree in 1995. She taught mathematics at Northern Kentucky University for four years, and is currently a professor of mathematics at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
