Lisa Myers

Lisa Myers graduated with Honors from The University of Iowa in 1997 with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Teaching Certificate. She earned her Master of Music degree from DePaul University in 2000. Lisa has taken Suzuki Violin Training with Doris Preucil and Kimberly Meier-Sims and Suzuki Piano Training with Francoise Pierredon.

Lisa began studying the violin at age 5 and the piano at age 3. Her violin teachers have included Marilyn O’Boyle, Francia Birdsall-Mann, Morris Collier, Leopold LaFosse and Stefan Hersh. Lisa currently performs with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and she manages and performs with a string chamber music group, Legacy Strings. She has also performed with the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra. Lisa currently teaches violin and piano privately to more than 35 students. She has been teaching both violin and piano privately since 1990. Lisa, her husband Brent and their daughter Larissa live in Lincoln.
