Melissa Pruss

Melissa Pruss was awarded her Bachelor of Music at DePaul University in Chicago, where she studied violin with Joseph Genualdi. An Omaha native, she has been an active private teacher since 2001. Pruss is a member of the Omaha Suzuki String Teachers Association and has studied Suzuki pedagogy with Marilyn O’Boyle.

In addition to playing regularly with the Omaha and Lincoln symphonies, Pruss has performed on the Organ Vespers Series and CSM Concert Series. Before returning to Omaha, Pruss was a member of the Collegium Musicum Orchester in Bonn, Germany, and an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.  Her Omaha Talent Education studio is located at the College of St. Mary where she is on the faculty.
